You needing to perform penance?

There's hope for my friend, as you are already in tune with your sinful nature.

The wanton need for speed, tearing up the tarmac, cutting tight corners, getting ahead while sucking down high octane (fuel) and chasing babes (Formula One showgirls) are all virtues to be embraced wholeheartedly.

I will pray for you.

I didn't know the F1 passes would be in such formats. Looks like everything is about packaging.

Hahaha! Well, to do that, I would have to climb over a very high fence which separates the track from the spectators. Presumably that fence is for a semblance of spectator safety, but it also prevents nutjobs from lying down on the track. Race got no half-time!

Since I'm doing the first shifts on both days, I might stay for a while after each shift. Or get up early to help you guys with moving the stuff from RMBR to Toa Payoh.

Then, there's that crazy cycle to work idea. Still getting used to riding on the road.

Hah! Look at all these green nutjobs drooling over your tickets!

Tell you what, tell the organisers you are a conscientous objector and want to lie down on the track in protest during half-time or whatever it is they have in F1 races.

Anyway sinners make the best counsellors, so you'll proabably be inspirational! So are you going to sign up for extra duty at Envirofest? Or have you already earned enough positive karma from grading 200 animal behaviour blog posts?

Heh, I fully intend to enjoy myself. =) Yup, they have no shortage of countries with hopes of hosting a race. Abu Dhabi just won the right to host a race next year. And the closing race of the season too.

I just cannot reconcile F1 with all this boasting by the gahmen that Spore is such a green city blah blah blah. But hey, don't let that spoil you enjoyment. Have a good time. If they don't come here they will go elsewhere anyway; right?

Yes, it's not. Which is why I have to do penance.

The car companies would say that the technological gains trickle down to road cars and help make road cars more fuel efficient. How far this is true is highly debatable.

Incidentally, they used to use a special grade of fuel. Now the F1 cars run on regular petrol which you get at any petrol station.

Actually isn't the race not environmentally friendly with all the resources going into cars going around the track with no apparent purpose except to be the fastest? Hmm...but I think the passes look very nice!

@John Larkin Hmmm... but if I sell the tickets, I won't go, and I won't need to do any penance, which means that I won't have to sell the tickets. Catch-22? Easier if I just do something else to make up for this. =)

@Patricea Chow-Capodieci That's true. Or they could just have dispensed with the box. Yet again, some opted to have their tickets delivered to their doorstep, so that means all the tickets in a box.

I hadn't thought of selling the passes after the event! Maybe I'll sell the second set. I want to keep one set for myself - first night race and all. Not going to throw these away, unlike what I stupidly did to my MRT opening commemorative ticket.

@Marcus You know, I thought you were another Marcus, the one that won the recent 'Saving Gaia' contest! Didn't know you have a Flickr account. Nice photos!
