		<description>Thought it was a pretty well known fact. Salespeople love to use this disadvantage to convince people to buy LCDs (of the brand that they will get commission from sales).

Other people who will be familiar with burn-in are MRT commuters. Some of the older plasma passenger displays are quite badly burnt-in. What saves them a bit now is the fact that they play ads on the screens. Much less time is spent displaying the number of minutes &#039;til the next train arrives.

Apparently, the newer plasma screens have reduced the effects of burn-in. Whether this is true or just marketing talk... I will let you know in about five or ten years time!</description>
