great pix kenneth, i personally enjoyed tekapo and fox glacier the most. But seriously, taking on driving duties for the whole of the journey was brutal. Queenstown was a really relaxing time for my wife and me.

@ Chun See Thank goodness for that. Yes, horse riding can be dangerous. We had to sign disclaimers before we went on the ride. The horses we had we all very nice and obedient.

@ Patricea That's right. I think I was still temp-ing at GetAsia then. Hmmm... Christchurch is just a tad too quiet for me though. But then, I'm biased towards Melbourne. And then again, I always consider Singapore home.

@ Rocky Racoon It was thoroughly enjoyable, indeed! You went on a trip too, right? Hope to see photos!

I miss NZ so much, since I last went there with mom in Nov 2001. Your photographs brought back loads of memories, especially of Christchurch (I still want to retire there) and Queenstown. I still recall that my friend called me from Dunedin - he was working there - when I was in Queenstown. It was one of the best 13 days I spent in my life, so far...

Looking at your photos of the horse riding reminds me of my trip there with my family in 2002. The previous day, 1 lady from our group fell off the horse and fractured her leg. When our turn came, as we were returning and approaching the stables, my youngest daughter's horse suddenly sped back and she fell off. Thank God she was not hurt. She was only 10 then.
