This morning, I finally decided to post-process and upload the backlog of photos that’s been sitting on my computer. These include photos for my threesixfive (photo a day) project and casual shots from a friend’s wedding last week.
I logged into Flickr before starting, and I immediately lost my mood to work on the photos.
Apparently, the problem of phantom photos that was affecting one of Wynnie’s Flickr photos was not an isolated case. Quite a number of my photos are displaying images from other people. And different sizes can turn up different photos too.
This really irks me as I recently merged my ‘old skool’ account with Yahoo (they bought Flickr some time back but not before I joined Flickr). What irritates me even more is that Flickr (or Yahoo) is keeping totally silent on the issue.
Like it doesn’t exist. (The instructions don’t work, and far from ‘returning to normalcy’, the problem seems to be getting worse.)
Wow, just as I type this, the snap preview shows that Flickr is having a massage.
Apparently, this problem has been going on since Saturday. About time.
UPDATE They’ve fixed it. Still, it’s a negative demonstration of how to deal with customers in this day and age. Shame on you Yahoo.
