Sometimes, Microsoft really asks for it.
According to Apple Insider, the new Zune is currently incompatible with the upcoming Windows Vista.
But Steve Ballmer, talking to Bloomberg, says, “We really have the foundation here to ship more and more opportunity to enjoy entertainment experiences.”
Right.
And he has this to say about the Zune’s *ahem* wireless capability: I want to squirt you a picture of my kids. You want to squirt me back a video of your vacation. That’s [an] experience.
Squirt me? No thanks, Steve B.
The article has a few choice words about the installation screen too: And for those wondering, the splash screen of three oriental chicks in distress isn’t our contributor’s stab at a knee-slapper. It’s the official installer backdrop chosen by the Redmond, Wash. folks to appear for each and every customer who installs a Zune.
Pain and pleasure are probably one and the same at Microsoft. Thank goodness for my iPod.
P.S. Please don’t ask me why I’m still using Windows. Bad habits are hard to break. Especially when there are costs involved.
