Computer suicide

That's where it goes no further

My hard disk.

It died.

I think.

Click… click… click…. whirrrrr… Click… click… click…. whirrrrr… Click… click… click…. whirrrrr… Click… click… click…. whirrrrr…

Sounds like it.

Music: gone.

Unprocessed and unuploaded photos: gone.

Documents: gone.

Priceless stuff, you know?

Yes, I know.

I know I should back up religiously.

Blogging now from my family computer. Very strange. Everything all over the place. Unfamiliar programmes. Totally uncustomized Firefox. No webcam.

Now, it’s raining. Can’t even send it for repairs. If it can be repaired…

Where’s my little bookmarklet to add technorati tags?

Hard luck. But I seem to recall advice to backup, backup, backup.

  9. haha…sorry…there was something funky going on with the system last night . so i think i ended up sending the comment thrice . i wasn’t even sure if any of them went through .

my computer’s still down . i need my original windows back-up disk to ressurect it …and i left it at home…so i’m waiting until my family brings it over when they attend my graduation soon (if i do graduate) …or maybe get a new one when i get back home .

exams are going too slowly…but hey…that means more time to play haha .

and yes…not only should we back up…we should back up our back ups to back up our back ups .

  12. I know a jolly young man named Ken
With a PC, alas, my friends.
    His screen went blue,
    Perhaps his language did too.
Tis time to get a Macintosh, then.

  13. A nice limerick there, John!

    But… I’m already a Mac user. =)

In any case, it was a hard disk failure, not a Windows issue. That computer is still working on my desk at home. ;)
