My mum went for a thyroidectomy on Monday.
She seemed to be recovering well. Last night, the doctors said she will probably be able to go home today.
Unfortunately, she woke up with a swollen face. The doctors can’t pinpoint the cause, but all her vital signs are ok. The swelling has also subsided.
So, it’s at least one more day of observation in the hospital.

/ Friday, 18 August 2006Thanks for leaving a message, Anand. My mum was discharged yesterday afternoon. She’s doing fine but will have to go back to the hospital at the end of the month so that the doctors can monitor her progress.
