Unfortunately, my el cheapo tripod isn't very stable. I just held my camera firmly on the window frame with the camera strap around my neck. My brother thought I was nuts. I previously used the 'react to the lightning method'. Obviously, I failed with that. I considered the fireworks method of leaving the shutter open while covering the lens with black cardboard/cloth, then revealing the lens when I see lightning. I figured that wouldn't be successful too. Last night, I tried the continuous method. Just kept on snapping. Bound to finally get a nice shot.
