quick post at Deadpoet’s Cave

a few quick words before i head to bed.

~~august~~ july is finally over. it’s been a long and tiring month professionally and personally. (p.s. see lah, so tired i’ve lost sense of time.)

my pet project at work is complete. it’s been a pain, it’s been unbearable, but it was a good learning experience.

two weddings ~~this~~ last month. very interesting to compare and contrast. most importantly, both were, in their own way, wonderful celebrations of love.

last thing. i bumped into e-gene today at funan.

interesting for a few reasons:
1. i didn’t know he was back in singapore. he’s supposed to be in australia. he’s back ‘cos his visa expired. he’ll be going back on a visitor’s visa. sarah must be missing him loads.
2. this is not the first time nor even the second time i’ve bumped into him and/or sarah at funan. and the other times i bumped into either of them, they were also back in singapore for a short while too.
3. i would not have bumped into him had i not been on leave today.
4. i also bumped into sarah while i was on holiday in melbourne in 2001. both sarah and e-gene had just arrived in melbourne for studies a few weeks before my holiday there.

call it what you will, these coincidences seem more like providence to me.
