pasir panjang heritage trail

dear friends,

september is memorial month.

it marks the 60th anniversary of the end of world war II in the pacific.

there will be several events to commemorate the anniversary.

one of these events, is the pasir panjang heritage trail. it is jointly organized by the volunteers of the raffles museum of biodiversity research (rmbr) and reflections at bukit chandu, national archives of singapore.

there will be two walks, at 9.00 a.m. and 11.30 a.m., on saturday, 3 september and sunday 4 september. the rmbr volunteers will point out the flora and fauna, the natural heritage of kent ridge - once known as pasir panjang ridge. at the reflections of bukit chandu, you will find out more about the fall of singapore, particularly the battle of pasir panjang.

as a volunteer with the rmbr, i hope that you can spend some time next weekend to discover the lesser known side of singapore.

12.4 million baht anyone? | gmail messenger?

zoe blogged about this absolutely hunger-inducing beef stroganoff rosti, which is available, unfortunately, along patong beach, phuket, thailand.

fortunately, the restaurant and house is for sale at 12.4 million baht (installment plan available). at that price, as zoe hopes, they had better throw in the cook as well.

click on the beef stroganoff rosti link and drool. you might even decide to scrounge up 12.4 million baht from somewhere.

elsewhere on the internet, there are rumours that google is going into instant messaging… stay tuned!
